About Me

My name is Natalie DeFrates and I'm currently a student at Diablo Valley College, taking classes in web design and programming. I'm interested in computers and the idea of creating websites has always been so facinsting to me! I've also had a desire to create and 'beautify' things for as long as I can remember.

Sometimes I reminise to my elemantary school days where we would have lessons in the computer lab. We learned things like the basics of researching, creating documents, and even using a search engine. I even remember some of what the early google search engine looked like back in the day!

My Career Goals

Aesthetics matter to me just as much as function of a website/product. My goal is to be able to combine these two aspects of myself into a career that would make that young child so happy, that little me who was so enraptured by the idea of building a website and working with computers. I aspire to become a ux designer, web designer, or working in some part of front-end development. I ispire to feed and refine my creativity while being able to maintain functionality.

Web Design Knowledge

I had a very basic understanding of writing in html prior to taking Web Design. I have been enjoying gaining a more indepth look at website development and learning how to make a more attractive looking website. I am excited to continue forward and continuously update this page with future projects to show my progress through taking the courses!
